École Centennial Park Elementary prioritizes the social-emotional well-being of its students by creating The Cove, a sensory room designed to help students manage and regulate their emotions. This space allows them to return to the classroom when they are ready to learn. The Cove promotes growth and self-regulation, providing students with the support they need to learn effective techniques for sensory regulation. Principal Melanie Trudeau, along with teacher Gurleen Grewal, Education Assistant Jenna Merrill, and students, highlighted the benefits of The Cove.
Principal Jasbir Singh, Vice-Principals Ashley Mennear and Becky Toews, teacher Jeff Dunton, LLC teacher Brenda Mallory, and students shared their initiatives to enhance literacy at the school. Their Grade 8 team has been implementing strategies like Morpheme Magic lessons, book clubs, and the Stop, Notice & Note approach to foster a strong reading culture and support student learning.
Deputy Superintendent Nathan Ngieng provided a strategic plan progress report for secondary schools in the District.

Superintendent Sean Nosek provided a comprehensive mid-year report which synthesizes the key activities under the four pillars of the board’s strategic plan.
The BCSTA published a new infographic to outline the roles and responsibilities of the Board of Education.
School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) Amended Annual Budget Bylaw for fiscal year 2024/2025 was read, reconsidered, and finally passed and adopted on the11th day of February 2025.
