Abbotsford Students Contribute to “Say Hello Abbotsford” Community Art Project
The Abbotsford School District is proud to support Say Hello Abbotsford, a new community art project led by local artist Linda Klippenstein in partnership with Archway Community Services and the City of Abbotsford.
Students at Ten-Broeck Elementary had the unique opportunity to add their creative touch to the painting, which celebrates more than 116 languages spoken in Abbotsford. The artwork features a vibrant community-garden theme, highlighting the city’s cultural and linguistic diversity.
The finished piece will be permanently displayed at Open Space in Downtown Abbotsford. An official unveiling happened on September 27, which invited the whole community to come together and celebrate this symbol of welcome and inclusion.
Through projects like this, the Abbotsford School District continues to champion collaboration, creativity, and cultural connection — values that help students see themselves as an important part of a diverse and thriving community.
